Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

Over 100,000 Sudanese have been displaced this week as fighting spreads in Sudan

Why is this not a major headline? Where are the condemnations and sanctions that follow such a massive displacement of innocent Sudanese. Where are the 136,000+ Sudanese forced from their homes supposed to go? What aid is available to them when there is no aid available to the millions of people already seeking safety in other regions of Sudan and other countries?

As each day of this genocide passes, it shows the grip the UAE has on the US so that the US can assist in Israel’s genocide. The UAE should be condemning the US for their role in Israel’s genocide. The US should be condemning the UAE for their role in Sudan’s genocide. Neither will condemn and heavily sanction the other because they both want to perpetrate their genocides without interference. Obviously, there is an agreement and understanding for both to look the other way.

If the US and western powers heavily sanctioned the UAE and other arms suppliers for the RSF, the genocide in Sudan would end.

If the UAE and other Middle Eastern allies heavily sanctioned the US and other arms suppliers for Israel, the genocide in Gaza would end.

If everyone supported an arms embargo for both genocides, these genocides would end. Yet there is no push or demand from members of international organizations such as the UN. Members of the UN could be pushing for peace, but they are not.

While world leaders do absolutely nothing, millions of Sudanese are facing starvation and searching for safety in Sudan and elsewhere but with little success because there are so many destabilized countries lacking resources. Again, world leaders are doing absolutely nothing to address these humanitarian issues that they created from hundreds of years of colonialism.

There are peacekeeping talks currently underway but not much hope for a resolution between the two warring parties. Both the RSF and SAF have shown that they do not believe in diplomacy which is why sanctions and an arms embargo are so critical here.

We can help by sharing the news from Sudan and donating to humanitarian organizations. Keep your voice loud for Sudan.
