Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

Not Biden. Not Trump. Our Democracy Needs Change Now.

To voters that are distraught between the constraints of options with Biden and Trump, why vote for either? Why are you limiting yourself to those two parties? This might be the chance for the people to take power back. Vote third party. I will be voting third party instead of writing someone in. Talk to the candidate, ask questions. Do not go into elections blindly and vote because someone is a member of one party. This is one of the many reasons the electorate has lost power and given so much to a two-party system that is failed. Both of those parties want to suppress another party from emerging or for Independents to gain power. Adding two more parties to the mix is needed especially if the people are to take power back in peaceful means.

Biden and Trump are too old to run. This comes from a person who has witnessed the breakdown that occurs during the onset of senility. Their actions and thoughts are inconsistent but at times this can be extremely noticeable, but is brushed away as being tired. A very educated person can hide these symptoms and explain them away, I have seen this firsthand with my father when he passed. Both of these men show symptoms of senility, the spiral can be both quick and drastic. This is not to attack either Biden or Trump. This is from a person who lived this with my father and my grandfather. The intent of this is to be informative for all voters.

There are elections currently taking place. Please vote third party and gain some power back to the people. We have to adjust the power structure in the US government across the board. Things must change and we are the means for that change.

As stated in a previous post, our system of checks and balances is broken. Our elected officials wield way too much power. The founding fathers were hopeful that the three branches of the United States democracy would represent the constituency and not exceed their powers. They have, and this must change. The abuse of power is grossly apparent, and we are allowing for these abuses to occur to us when we have the power to stop this and make the changes to balance our broken system.

Our government should step down. This means we, EVERYONE, all must step up and fully participate in this democracy. No longer should our representatives vote for us. The people should vote on EVERYTHING. The elected officials should then enact the will of the people. This means a significant amount of voting for the electorate, but this would be a true democracy. Our founding fathers used the excuse that the electorate would tire of endless voting and to leave this burden in the power of the legislature which the people vote on every four years. Here we are at the present, and the entire elected body of the US government (state and federal) supports a war in Gaza using taxpayer money despite the majority of the electorate against any funding of the war and supports a ceasefire. This is just one example, but the horribleness that is just that one example demonstrates the grim reality the electorate face, and why change is necessary.

The Arab and Muslim voters have no one representing them at the present. They are being vilified and attacked by their own government. They are being silenced in an actual resolution that the US senate passed. That alone is grounds for expulsion of the entire senate attacking the first amendment rights of their voters. Arab and Muslim voters are also having their tax dollars fund the killing of Palestinians, which could be relatives, but they are people they support and want protected not killed with their own money. Organizations are attacking Arab and Muslim people and supporters of Palestine, but the government does not speak out or protect them, only creating an agency to listen to Muslim and Arab voters after public outcry.

Many people are realizing they are not truly represented now that the true intentions of the US elected body is evident. They do not represent the people. They represent money.

We must rebalance the broken system. In that previous post, some ideas on how to rebalance our government were proposed. Not just what was presented in that post, these further measures would ensure a democracy is actually upheld. We the people should vote on all legislation, not the elected officials. They cannot be trusted. The role of the legislature should instead be to create legislation for the public to vote on, and then to take the will of the public and put the legislation into action. The electorate should also have the option of presenting legislation as well. The president’s role would be that of a top diplomat for the US. The president would no longer hold veto power. Since the vote is for the entire electorate, it is the will of the people, there is no need for a veto.

Having elected officials act on the legislation that the entire electorate votes on would remove the need for parties entirely. This role would be the truest form of a public servant. For instance, if the public voted on rewilding rivers across the US to assist in both water retention but also flood prevention, the congresspeople and senators would run the projects across the US to rewild the US river systems. The electorate will also vote on all funding so there is complete transparency.

Why have we allowed the government such secrecy from the people? That is not a democracy, that is an autocratic democracy, not what is described in the US Constitution which ensures a limit of power.

How do we achieve this? How can we, the electorate of the US, unite together and say no more to this?

Please continue to protest. Please continue to contact elected officials. Please continue to boycott. Please continue to donate. Hold these officials accountable. The unceasing message of the people will be heard. Make it louder until it is all they hear!

Please vote 3rd party. Please help organize and participate in creating a greater change in our democracy.

This is not the time to lose faith, this is the absolute time to have the MOST heart. That is how change will occur, never lose heart or faith in the darkest times. Always choose love.

To the bravest people on the planet, the Palestinians that demonstrate unbreakable love in the face of terror, my heart is with you. The stories of enduring love in the face of death are the truest actions of love ever witnessed. That is the act of choosing love.

My prayers are with Palestine. I am sorry we are failing you and I pray we do not fail you more. May Palestine have justice and its people have peace.
