Democrats and Republicans Uniting for Racism, Oppression, and Genocide. Break the Two-Party System

The rally this week displayed this unification perfectly. Both parties celebrated the war Israel is waging on innocent Palestinians and the genocide Israel is perpetrating. Both parties wanted the participants and for the electorate to share these pro-war values and to share that hate and the oppressive policies that they promote. This rally was a hate rally. It was racist and promoted the genocide of innocent Palestinians. The GOP and the Democrats have also unified to attack any dissenters but their attacks are built on lies, which makes those attacks nothing more than projections. Many voters realize how racist the attacks from elected officials are and how these same officials are attempting to claim that any dissension is racist, which is again, just a projection.

Not only are the parties alike in their agenda promoting racism and oppression, but they also both share their leaders refusal for accountability. Neither Biden or Trump can be questioned. It’s ironic that neither the Dems or the GOP realize how alike they are in this, and then turn around and criticize the other party for this exact refusal to be questioned. Both Biden and Trump are fascist autocrats. Neither should represent the American people. Part of the job of any elected office is to be questioned, and for the person who holds an elected office, to explain their actions. If this cannot be done, then this person is unfit for office. There is little difference in either Biden or Trump’s refusal of accountability. Both of these men have committed crimes and neither deserve respect or retain any authority.

It is also worrisome that neither man is fit for office health wise. These men are having very real cognitive issues. This is not meant to be an attack on either. This comes from a place of concern from one human being to another. Biden and Trump should step out of politics and focus on their health. The fact that they do not is very alarming. Where does this drive for power then come from?

Another example of the similarities both parties share is in the the Democratic Party’s response to protests outside the DNC headquarters. Elected officials outright lied despite video of the protests and the attacks coming from the police and not the protesters. Voters have called, voters have emailed, voters have faxed, and they are not being heard so these voters went to their officials to be heard and were attacked and labeled as extremists and even insurrectionists. It is neither progressive or liberal to silence and ignore voters and then attempt to smear their legitimacy and label them as aggressors and terrorist supporters. Those are actions of a conservative party and not a liberal or progressive party. Where it stands, the GOP is a far right extreme while the Democrats are staunch conservatives. Both parties create policies to further a racist and oppressive system. These are the people in power but they do everything but make a change and a difference. The fact that so many POC and minorities fear for their lives in their own country is beyond unacceptable. These officials could make changes today but they do not. Instead they uphold racism, oppression, and genocide.

The greatest example of the ability to make a change but upholding the system of oppression is the overturning of Roe v. Wade. There have been many opportunities to protect abortion rights for women in the US but the Democratic Party did not. Why? Because they want to uphold the oppressive system just as the Republicans do, the Democrats just don’t want to overtly state it like the Republicans.

In the end, both parties lead Americans to the same oppressive place.

On top of that, they have added genocide. Both parties openly support the killing of innocent Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. They rallied together and cheered for their oppressive, racist, and genocidal policies and actions. They are funneling tax dollars from Americans to fund the racist, oppressive, and genocidal system despite the pleas of the electorate wanting a ceasefire. This is who represents Americans and democracy. Now American voters can see both parties for what and who they are based on these actions.

We need to break the two-party system. If we can break the two-party system then we have a way into getting power to voters and away from elected officials. Breaking the two-party system is one step in rebalancing the imbalance of power.

People deserve representation. Those who attack anyone that refuses to vote for Biden or Trump are attempting to suppress representation. Suppressing someone’s right to representation is undemocratic and fascist. They want to uphold a system of oppression. These democrats are targeting Palestinian Americans, Muslim Americans, and Arab Americans because many of these voters are vocal about their refusal to vote for Biden. These voters are seeking representation and doing exactly what voters are supposed to do- discussing their lack of representation and asking for greater representation. Choosing to attack Palestinian Americans who are grieving for friends and family in Gaza and also asking for legitimate representation from their government, comes from a place of racism. These democrats are both racist and suppressive. That is attempting to disenfranchise these voters.

Every voter should welcome more parties into the legislature, because either change will result, or there will be stagnation. If there is change, and PACs and lobby groups lose their ability to affect the outcome of legislation, then the American electorate benefits. If the addition of other parties then further divides the legislature, then there are greater issues that need to be addressed within the constitution and what is not working between all three branches of the US government. Of course no government official is going to offer up their power to their constituents and that fact should be extremely concerning since the US is a democracy and the Constitution is in place as a protection against abuses of power. No US elected official should covet the power they hold to the point they cannot relinquish that power to their constituency. Trump’s refusal of loss to Biden and the Insurrection on January 6th, are perfect examples of the reasons why voters should have greater say and that this concentration of power is destroying the democracy and supporting fascist autocracy. Hopefully, with adding further parties to the two-party system, that might be enough to stop the fascism and help heal the wounded democracy.

Neither party has made large or vast improvements to America. We need progress. We need our rights protected. We need our government to stand for the actual morals that it is founded on liberty, freedom, and representation.

People will say that it is not okay to question the government and to fully believe and support whichever party you belong to, but that is not how a democracy works. That is how a fascist autocracy works. We are to questions our elected officials. We can hold them accountable. They must provide their constituency with answers, and if they do not, that is not a functioning democracy. If US elected officials cannot answer their electorate, then they are unfit to hold a position of power. It is unacceptable and dangerous for any representative to refuse to answer their voters. This is a person that wants power, will not be questioned, and will strip people of rights to ensure their power and to silence opposition. We are experiencing this under the current government.

We have to fight for democracy. We have to fight for representation.

From the river to the sea, may Palestine be free. May the whole world be free.

Protest. BE UNGOVERNABLE. Volunteer. Organize. Boycott. Vote 3rd party. Contact elected officials. Share the stories from Palestine. Share the news from Palestine. Share the history of Palestine. Please extend that energy to the areas of the world affected by genocide and fight for the people of the Congo, Sudan, West Papua, Uyghurs, and Armenia.
