I refuse to let this government dictate any laws or governance over me because the US government, in all of its branches, has refused to listen to the will of the people. They do not listen. They do not comply with laws. Why should we?
What the US government and elected officials do not realize is that they have fully destroyed their credibility and legitimacy. They are breaking the Geneva Convention, the Genocide Convention, the Leahy Act, along with other international laws. Yet, these same people that expect me to abide by the law. No.
The White House will not acknowledge the Geneva Convention. This is a binding agreement that the US signed and ratified protecting human rights. The US government does not only refuse to acknowledge the Geneva Convention, but they are also breaking articles that protect human rights. They are openly committing war crimes. If the US government does not acknowledge any laws, I do not acknowledge any of their laws. They choose lawlessness, I choose lawlessness.
The US government has ushered in anarchy. They have created a new era of the Wild West, where law has no meaning other than being enforced with brut power, violence, threats, and guns. Those who are hungry for power impose their will on peaceful people for a criminal agenda. Just like the Wild West, though, the people have a choice, too, and they fought back. The intent of our laws have been delegitimized through illegal actions of those who write and are to uphold the law. Since elected officials get to choose if they follow the law, the people get to choose if they follow the law as well. Just as in the Wild West, people took their own action in response to the delegitimate officials that sought power over them.
I do not advocate for hatred or violence as a result of liberating oneself from governance; follow natural law. I do not believe or uphold any law of the US under this current government, and refuse to follow any orders. That does not mean that I would put another human being in any harm. Natural law is respecting the human rights of other individuals and walking in that belief. That is the only law that I respect, one not imposed by any government.
What will it take for me to gain respect for the US government? A complete change to the imbalanced system of power. They wield too much power over the citizenry and overstep the Constitution. If questioned, they silence dissent (this attitude from both parties). Not until there is peace in Palestine, the electorate regains power, and these officials admit their role in Palestine are crimes against humanity and are removed from power, I will be ungovernable.
This is crucial for survival under this current autocratic government. As much as they tell me to behave, I won’t, I outright refuse. I will not be kind toward those who attempt to destroy my sovereign, autonomous state, being me.
I have hope that the US democratic system will change, but it will only change when more people fight for their autonomy and rights that they deserve. It will only change when people realize that they are an autonomous, sovereign state, and that should be respected. It’s alarming how many people are willing to sell their rights for comfort.
My rights are not for sale. I claim them. They cannot be taken from me, not even in death, for our rights are ever eternal. They emanate from us with the power we give them. A voice cannot be taken. That is your spirit and your right.
Silence is giving up that innate right, though. Silence and inaction means giving up on your individual autonomy.
The US government covets our rights and our power. Elected officials seek to take more of our rights and power from the constituency. They watch with banality over the deaths of 11,000 innocent Palestinians, truly lacking conscience and empathy. Elected officials act like the monarchs that were overthrown 247 years ago. These are not people who should be in power, but they are, and each day they are showing the electorate exactly who they are- no conscience, no empathy, no regard for law. They are dangerous, but they scare the insecure into thinking that those who refuse their governance are extremists and pose a threat. Losing your rights, power, and freedoms to the US government is the actual threat.
Vote 3rd party. Get every elected official out of power who supports Israel and the genocide agenda. Hold these elected officials accountable and get them out of office permanently. They are a danger to democracy and to the people. They all belong in The Hague. If justice is to have meaning, that is what it would entail. If we commit crimes, we face prison. Elected officials who have committed and supported war crimes should also face prison. It sickens me that my government funds, arms, provides intelligence to, and defends Israel in a campaign of genocide and war crimes using my money. This is not what I stand for. This is not the democracy that is stated in the Constitution, and because this is the choice that the US government has made, I have elected to protect my rights in the way I can.
This government has no power over me because it has no meaning anymore.
Take your power back. They only have your power if you let them have it. Of course this means giving up comfort, but if comfort means that others suffer, it is no comfort to me. The fact that the government threatens comforts and removes them to punish the electorate says enough. The fact that the government threatens rights and freedom, proves the delegitimacy of this democracy.
This is not meant to scare anyone, the intent of this piece is for each person to realize the power within and where that power should remain, within. Our voice and power does not belong under control the autocracy that we face in America, but a democracy that respects our rights and freedoms, not limits them.
BE UNGOVERNABLE. If the US government does not follow the law, then neither should any citizen in the US. If elected officials have the freedom to subvert the law, the citizens do as well.
Long live your independent state of you! I respect your sovereignty as your own nation state.
We, as individuals no longer subjects of the US autocracy, must continue to unite for freedom of Palestine and all people who are oppressed. All of these people deserve the right to a life of their choice and the ability to live life the way they see fit. I recognize their sovereignty and their autonomy. May we get them all to safety so they can live a free of subjugation.
FIGHT HARD!
