Rohingyas are fleeing Myanmar after deadly attacks target them and if they stay they are forced to enlist into Myanmar's military

Under threat of more ethnic cleansing, thousands of Rohingya are trying to flee Myanmar and cross into Bangladesh. A recent attack on Rohingya attempting to enter Bangladesh killed 200 innocent children, women, and men. The Arakan Army is being blamed for this massacre, and for burning towns and bombing the Rohingyas. Not only are the Rohingyas facing deadly attacks from a large armed militia, the Myanmar army is threatening Rohingya men and boys to enlist in their military. Human rights groups are extremely alarmed at the level of abuse that is occurring which is similar to the levels of violence in 2017 when the Myanmar government committed genocide against the Rohingyas. Now the Myanmar government is forcing the Rohingyas to enlist.

There is hope the Chinese government, along with other neighboring countries and the international community, will push for elections and a transitionary government to rule Myanmar so that fair elections can take place. Humanitarian groups are also asking that warring parties be held accountable and follow international humanitarian law.

The longer fair elections do not take place, the more violence that will spread across Myanmar as the junta continues to extend his rule without the support of the people.

The Rohingyas need humanitarian assistance and to find safety in neighboring countries like Bangladesh. The international community needs to support Bangladesh and international humanitarian agencies in assisting the Rohingyas. Provide funding, medicine, and food for the Rohingyas that have been forcibly displaced and attacked.

One thing you can do is read these articles and share them to spread the information about the situation in Myanmar and the atrocities that the Rohingya face as well as the Burmese people.
