Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

No matter how the US government tries to evade the truth, they are complicit in war crimes against Palestinians

Israel’s war on Gaza would not be at this level of death and annihilation if the US had not provided Israel with every measure to commit such violent obliteration of innocent Palestinians and their land. Millions of Palestinians are starving and dying, while the US could take actions to prevent starvation and catastrophic death of innocent people being tortured and forced from their homes, the US plays incapable of stopping or acknowledging the depth of devastation and genocide.

The world now knows that the US has been sending large amount of arms and munitions to Israel without public knowledge to evade scrutiny and accountability. Those arms and munitions have massacred thousands of innocent Palestinians and laid waste to Gaza.

Despite the rumors of Biden and Democrats beginning to fight over Israel’s plans, Biden and Democrats have not changed course at all with Israel and are still planning arms transfers to Israel and pushing for more military funding for Israel. Since it is not public knowledge, for all we know, there are probably arms shipments occurring at this moment. Biden and the Democrats have never brought up sanctions or embargoes on arms for Israeli elected officials or businesses, only individual settlers which has not deterred the violence against Palestinians and the illegal occupation of Palestinian land that is underway. Even while all of these atrocities are committed by Israel, the US supplies them with continuous arms and bombs.

In order to keep up appearances, the US has pushed for the construction of a humanitarian port which will be able to provide supplies into Gaza. There’s a lot of issues with this project. Trucks are able to supply much more than the boats can supply. One of the most important drawbacks to the humanitarian port is that there is no infrastructure to organize these supplies and disperse them to Palestinians. The US knows this is a poor choice and that is specifically why US officials opted for a substandard solution to the starvation and lack of medical supplies that Gaza is facing. While the US government could embargo and sanction Israel if aid is not shipped into Gaza as it should, the US has decided that this minimal amount of supplies is fine and will suffice despite the claims from actual humanitarian organizations. Trucks at the Egypt border crossing that have organized supply and dispersal systems should be allowed into Gaza without Israel overseeing the inspections. A separate party should be inspecting aid shipments, not Israel.

As much as the US government wants to say their hands are tied in regards to Israel, and they are impotent, they are not. They provide the arms, munitions, funding, and the global bullying power which silences any dissension.

As much as the US government wants to cover their a**, they cannot. Human Rights Watch has recently called out Israel’s assertion that their use of US weapons are within the bounds of humanitarian international laws. This means that the US is knowingly breaking US laws and humanitarian international laws in supplying arms and munitions to Israel because there is definitive proof that Israel is utilizing US weapons in ways that clearly break these laws.

The real question comes with accountability for the US government. They refuse accountability and have openly threatened the ICC in the past. Few if any court cases go anywhere when it comes to the role of US elected officials and their crimes against humanity.

This accountability must come from world leaders. Canada has stopped their shipments of arms to Israel, and other countries may soon follow. If countries want this genocide to end, they must pass a complete arms embargo on Israel. None of this addresses the US’ role in facilitating Israel’s war crimes though. These countries have to sanction US elected officials and other aspects of trade with the US as a response to what the US government has assisted in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

No one has sanctioned the US over their role of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The killing and starvation of thousands of Palestinians will continue until world leaders unite against the US and Israel.

These leaders will unite if the people keep speaking up in support for Palestine.

Reporters are being targeted. Doctors and are being targeted. Aid workers are being targeted. Children are being targeted. Mothers are being targeted. Palestinians are being purposely starved to death. Yet arms from the US are still transferred to Israel despite these atrocities.

Keep protesting.

Keep boycotting.

Keep speaking up for Palestine.

From the river to the sea, may Palestine be free. May the whole world be free.
