14,700 innocent Sudanese have been killed.
5 million Sudanese are on the brink of famine.
18 million Sudanese are food insecure.
10,000 innocent Sudanese are at risk of dying from starvation every day if the war in Sudan does not end and aid is dispersed through Sudan.
2 million Sudanese have left Sudan for other countries.
8.6 million Sudanese have been displaced.
80% of health facilities are inoperable.
To make matters worse, the UN World Food Programme is running out of funding for Chad and will not be able to provide food for Chad which has taken in a large number of Sudanese refugees. So, not only will the Chadians suffer from this massive lack of funding, but the Sudanese will also be dealt even more adversities.
Fighting continues between the SAF and RSF. Both sides are disrupting aid shipments to people who are starving to death across Sudan. Both sides are attacking and targeting aid workers. This makes it nearly impossible to dispense aid to organizations and to the Sudanese who are suffering.
This war, labelled a civil war but it is fueled by foreign powers, is definitely not a war between internal parties but external parties attempting to gain control of the resources within Sudan such as gold. The war would end immediately if these foreign powers would no longer arm or fund the RSF and the SAF.
What is needed is impactful sanctions and arms embargoes for the RSF, SAF, the UAE, Russia, and the countries that arm the SAF. There are current sanctions on a few members of the RSF, SAF, and UAE, but it has not deterred them.
Don’t arm any of the parties involved in Sudan’s war, and the war will end. The fact that they still are shows that other countries have aims for Sudan regarding its resources and control of them.
Both the RSF and SAF need to respect humanitarian groups and allow shipments. There must be repercussions to both parties for these war crimes.
Women and girls are raped and enslaved. They are starved and have no access to healthcare. Mothers who have just given birth are not able to breastfeed their babies. The countries they seek refuge in have little to no food or assistance. How are there no leaders taking action to offer any help to Sudan? Do they really care so little to this horrifying level of agony?
What can you do to help?
