Enough with the false statements and proclaiming sentiments that are never supported in their actions, President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken have proven they're inauthentic. Let’s look to the facts and reviewing their actions, which are things these two US officials avoid.
In their recent statements, they, and most US politicians, view themselves through a blurred lens that contradicts the reality of their actions. I ask each of them to not point to their words for proof, but their actions. If your words do not match your actions, there is a major issue. Both Biden and Blinken view themselves as liberal and stand for the people, as you can see from the posts provided from each.
Their actions have proven they are anything but liberal and do not support democracy, justice, or freedom. Biden has refused a ceasefire in Gaza and blocked any possibility in the UN for one to be achieved in the Security Council. He is not against oppression but an active oppressor and genocide supporter of innocent Palestinians. He takes no actions to support the Sudanese and the Congolese. Biden does not sanction or embargo the UAE for their funding the RSF or Rwanda for arming the M23 in Congo. Blinken follows suit and refuses to acknowledge the truth put before him when questioned about the US actions, which are antithetical to democracy and human rights even though he states this administration has done much for these ideals. The inhumane and cruel immigration laws the Biden administration are pushing in order to get Israel military funding, is another notch in their belt of lies. The one party that fully endorses Biden’s immigration laws are the Republicans, but sadly so do many Democrats.
Biden and Blinken know they are spewing lies. This is why resolutions pass in Congress that are attempting to limit speech. This is why universities are under fire for supporting free speech of students. This is why they refuse hard questions from the press or condescend and admonish these questions when put under pressure. These are not the actions of a liberal, progressive, or even a moderate, but the actions of conservatives who are guilty. It is fascist autocracy at play in the Democratic Party.
It’s delusional reasoning to claim that the US is deepening friendships and partnerships with other countries when almost the entire General Assembly vote for Palestinian rights and the US and three others vote against these rights. They say this friendship rhetoric only to deflect from the truth that few countries trusts the US. Countries are dependent on trade, which is the only reason any nations interact with the US to begin with. An economic relationship with the US comes at a high cost, though. Yes, these countries are voting for Palestine, but only two are taking any economic response to hold Israel accountable and no country has dared even mention the US’ role in the genocide of Palestinians. With the US threatening (increasing naval presence in the Middle East) and pressuring world leaders into inaction, there is only so much time that these world leaders can tolerate their own complicity over the war crimes and genocide Israel is perpetrating. It fully displays the depravity in the US government from both political parties because no matter who is in office America funds and supports genocide. That is what will break trust now that world leaders witness the disregard for human rights from each side of the US political spectrum.
One of the major reasons I voted for President Biden was his progressive environmental agenda, which was thrown out the window with the border wall construction he swore would never be constructed under his administration, yet he is adding huge sections of border wall. He also increased the production and of fossil fuels in the US and allowing a preserve on Alaska to be exploited and destroyed for oil. While some “liberals” (undercover conservatives) would tout the president protecting old-growth trees, this new bill will only limit and not completely restrict logging in old-growth forests. Do not think these integral forests will be spared, because they will still be logged. If the Biden administration wanted to take an actual progressive stance on this forest issue, they would completely ban logging in old-growth forests. If they are increasing the production of fossil fuels with no offset to compensate for these increases, the Biden administration should do all that they can to stop logging in national forests all together. This bill could have easily banned logging for old-growth but Biden stopped short even here. These were nothing more than crumbs thrown to environmentalists. This is also nothing more than a performative ploy to seem like a protector of the environment when Biden is nothing of the sort.
Both Biden and Blinken employ threats to induce fear, much like their conservative counterparts have done so well under Trump, but these men choose to do it in a less overt manner than the Republicans. It is another bit of proof that they are nothing different but conservatives, it is present but subtle. They are the understated conservative. In his statements regarding the Ukraine/Israel/Immigration funding bill, Blinken threatens Americans with a possible outcome of foreign despots winning if the spending bill is not passed. Blinken likens America to the country who stands for goodness and morality in the world, while the entire world looks in disgust at the US funding and arming Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. This is a very familiar perspective in the conservative arena, to consider the US as morally superior while the actions are nothing moral or ethical to warrant any type of moral authority. There is no ownership, there is denial. There is no allowance for questioning or criticizing US actions, they are met with defiance and condescending reproach for even the thought of questioning their actions. Again, these are actions the conservatives utilize that the Democratic Party is also utilizing.
The jig is up. The world is disappointed in the way the US government has betrayed everything that it stands for, and refuses to be questioned for their actions like they are above reproach and not question because the US is the moral absolute. All actions taken by the US counter any moral authority supposed. That line of reasoning can no longer be used. Retire it. It’s Joever.
Vote them all out.
Vote 3rd party.
Have faith in the structure of our democracy. The people in power need to go, but the whole system does not need to go. We have reform to the checks and balances within the government that must occur.
From the river to the sea, may Palestine be free. May the whole world be free.
