Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

Please Don't Harden

It’s easy to harden under the current conditions. The world is on fire, and trust is hard to come by.

Find what calms your heart and soul. Find the soft and gentle things and acknowledge that those soft and gentle things were meant for you to interact with in that moment. It’s incredibly special but it is often times ignored because pain and hurt puts blinders over our eyes so we only see more pain and hurt.

Set yourself free into your gentleness.

Give yourself space to be alone. In order to get to that level of vulnerability we all need space free from judgement to air out the contents of our hearts judgement free.

Save the harsh energy for the times you must use it. We all have times we need to hold to account the awfulness in the world. Save that energy for those times. No person can maintain aggressive energy constantly.

The world is in complete upheaval. A lot of people are scared. A lot of people are hurting. A lot of people are triggered. These emotions bring with them the negative affects and repercussions if those emotions are not addressed. It is having a toll on people, myself included.

When that negative energy gets to be too much, it is time to let go. Embrace the chaos and have faith that good things will come to you. They will when you let go. We will not find what we need if we’re seeking to control. What you can control is how you handle the situation. Keeping the faith that good will come your way and letting go of the need to control allows us to get into a safe space where we can be vulnerable, open, and gentle.

Find time for you to get to a gentle place. Be gentle with yourself and your internal thoughts. Then we can be gentle with our loved ones and the world around us.

If people are hurting you, or you’ve lost trust or respect in someone, let them go. Don’t be hard on yourself over the loss, not everyone is meant to remain in our life. Be gentle on yourself and letting people go who are not good for you. Mourn the dead and not the friends you’ve lost along the way because of differences or loss of trust. It’s okay to feel that sting over a lost friendship or when you are lied to, but mourning is heavy and should be reserved for the people who are forever gone. This is not meant to be critical, this is a way to reframe your energy. I’ve had to realign this myself and it takes time and effort, but it is worth it.

The right people will find you when your energy is open and soft and you can share that vulnerability with them. You provide a safe space for their heart. We all need this. The world needs this energy.

Do what you need to in order to find that softness. Please be vocal with the people around you so they know you need space to get to this place and then they won’t feel pushed away or the cause of your need for space.

What things calm and content you? What things make you earnestly smile a smile from your heart? Close your eyes and think of the things that warm your heart. It’s time to do just that.

Listen to your music. Read a tender story. Pet an animal. Sit in the sunshine. Let the breeze blow through your hair. Lay in a warm tub. Sing sweet songs. Write the poem retained in your heart. Watch a lovely movie. Make art. Close your eyes and think in silence. Do whatever it is that speaks to you.

Get through the pain/hurt that is between you and reaching a place where you can be gentle with yourself and your loved ones.

I had battles this week and couldn’t get to a place of softness because I had to be so aggressive. I cried hard that this world demands such harshness and aggression in order for boundaries to be respected. The news then dragged my heart down deeper into sadness. It took a lot for me to get back to a gentle place, and that’s okay. That is why I am sharing this, because sometimes it takes extra effort and more space, and that is okay.

For you to be able to be gentle, you need to feel safe. Once you find your safe place, the next step is to acknowledge and heal from the hurt and pain so you can to get to a place of vulnerability.

I pray everyone can find their safe space and be able to find their gentleness.

May everyone heal from their pain and find their peace.

From the river to the sea, may the whole world be free.
