On this Human Rights Day 2023

Please read and share the Declaration of Human Rights. This declaration encapsulates all the major protections for human rights and ensures a life of peace for everyone.

It’s bittersweet to read, though. The idealist in me was moved with the protections, especially over individuality. However, my heart was breaking over the amount of abuses to these articles that Palestinians, Sudanese, Congolese, West Papuans, Armenians, Rohingyans, and the Uyghurs must suffer through without regards and respect to any of these groups. The abuses, atrocities, genocide, and war crimes around the world will not cease until we hold the abusers equally accountable. All of these groups deserve everything outlined in the Declaration of Human Rights, but they are all being attacked. All of these groups deserve to live in peace, but they are attacked. The Declaration of Human Rights applies to all of these groups, which protects their human rights, but they are attacked.

I deeply appreciate the Declaration and the intentions to safeguard human rights. A declaration carries no weight if not everyone acknowledges and ratifies it. Every country should sign, ratify, and be bound to these protections. If a country is breaking one of the articles, a case should quickly be sent to the ICC for investigation and a hearing.

We need every country to participate, sign, and ratify. We need every country to respect the Declaration of Human Rights. We need every country to abide by and respect the rulings of the ICC, and not take actions against investigations or groups bringing cases to the ICC. These are steps that all world leaders should be taking right now to protect human rights.

The abuses against human rights are shattering humanity. We have to all uphold and fight for it, and fight for people whose human rights are under attack.

Every person on this planet should be afforded these rights, and for these rights to be respected globally.

Yet they are not. World leaders are not taking the actions necessary to protect these rights, and this must change. That change comes from the people. The protection of human rights is now up to all of us. We each have to do what we can to support the Declaration of Human Rights.

Let’s stand together and fight for humanity. Let’s unite and uphold human rights.

Protest. Vote 3rd party. Organize. Volunteer. Boycott. Donate.

From the river to the sea, may the whole world be free.

My prayers and love to Palestine, Sudan, the Congo, West Papua, the Rohingyans, the Armenians, and the Uyghurs.
