Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

The power should be in the hands of the people. Let the revolution begin

This message is not restricted to the US, it is a message for every person on every beautiful continent on this precious earth. It does not matter where you are. WE ALL MUST REORGANIZE AND GIVE THE POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

“All power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” Lord Acton. This is one of the truest sayings that has never been disproven, and this is why it is imperative that people regain the power that elected officials retain and so often do not want to relinquish.

In the US, the senate voted against a human rights report for Israel. Only 11 senators voted for a human rights report on Israel. This means that senators are breaking the Leahy Law. There are also no discussions on President Biden attacking Yemen without congressional approval. It cannot be stated enough that the US government, as a whole, cannot be trusted and must be restructured.

While the US meets with Sudanese officials and should label the RSF a terrorist organization and sanction the RSF to oblivion, the US is acting as some kind of useless mediator. The very next day the US labels the Houthis a terrorist organization and sanctions them. These actions are not consistent and displays the level of hypocrisy of the US government. It is dangerous to put any trust or faith in something so inconsistent and one that serves only to profit.

These issues are not just present in the US. These inconsistencies, lies, betrayals, and active oppression of citizen’s rights are a systemic issue for all governments across the world.

Why? Because absolute power corrupts absolutely.

We need a change to how governments are organized and run. Until we all make a stand against this power vacuum, we will all suffer under the oppression of these governments and man’s lust for power and control.

We have to break the ability to seize power and control.

How? By giving the power to the people who then are a mass, an entity, not one person or a selected group. We have tried allowing representatives vote for their constituents, but it has proven ineffective. These elected officials are not listening to their constituents (again, it does not matter what country, none are listening). Elected officials are only listening to moneyed interests. That is not a democracy but a country attempting to fool its people into thinking its oligarchy is a democracy. The concern is that these oligarchies are now turning into fascist autocracies.

What do we do? We have to break the system in all governments across the world. The power should have always been in the hands of the people. LET PEOPLE VOTE ON ALL THE ISSUES. LET THE PEOPLE MAKE THE DECISIONS. This means everyone around the world votes a lot more, but it breaks the terrible hold the oppressors have over virtually everything.

Let the people decide how they want their money spent in their country. Let the people decide on their own civil rights. Let the people decide on military action. LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE.

There have been politicians that have spoken down to their constituents and called them ignorant and unable to handle the complex issues that arise in politics, but this is a fallacy meant to undermine the intelligence of voters. There is also the argument that voters cannot handle the amount of voting they would face. That is a challenge but there are ways to streamline these votes to make it accessible for all to vote. The irony is that even the legislatures are not obsessively voting all day and night for their constituents so it is not a full-time job even to those in office because most of their time is spent campaigning or meeting with PACs and special interest groups to acquire money for campaigns.

There is still a need for elected officials, even in this system where the power is in the hands of the people. Elected officials would be the project managers of the legislation that is voted on. Elected officials could continue to write and introduce legislation. They would oversee and actually manage their selective region like they should currently be doing but in this system that would be the entire point of their position. For example, if legislation passed for a project to create 15 minute access to your city, the elected officials would make sure the projects to achieve that do actually achieve that legislation in a timely, safe, and environmentally sound practices.

We vote, and elected officials then do the work of what was voted on. We vote, they do.

How can we possibly achieve this monumental change? VOTE EVERYONE OUT OF OFFICE. We all across this amazing planet must take this revolutionary step. When we have people in office who are willing to listen to the voters, then we can begin to restructure our governmental systems and remove the power from the fascists who refuse to relinquish any but seek to oppress the rights of their own people.

Our world would look so different if the power were in the hands of the people.

The voice of the people are stifled, ignored, refused, and silenced. As a whole, most populations do not want war but peace. As a whole, most populations want their environment to flourish.

Of course there would be individuals who try to convince populations into war, violence, and destruction of the environment, but we can put systems in place to properly check these atrocities. For example, requiring multiple votes and allowing opposing opinions to heavily explain the impacts of war and resource extraction. Or a country (voted on by the people) could simply vote to ban war and resource extractions all together.

I do not have faith in a person. I do not have faith in a party. I do have faith in ideals that support the freedom of both people and the environment. I do have faith in the masses.

Together we can break capitalism. Together we can break colonialism. Together we can break imperialism. Together we can break the war machine. Together we can break ecocide. Together we can break racism. Together we can break the patriarchy. It will take all of us uniting together, and in that, there is truth and beauty in the unification of people who come together not out of selfishness but selflessness.

Free yourself from party identification and support the ideals that are important to making progress. Free yourself from the system where a person misrepresents you and represent yourself the way you want to represented.

Power to the people. Let us truly fight for peace, human rights, and humanity. Elected officials enter office to gain control, not for the betterment of people or this planet. They have had hundreds of years with the opportunity to make progress, and yet it is always the people fighting for rights who make the progress.

It is time for that to change. Let us fight for peace. Let us fight for the environment. Let us fight together as one people for our shared love and protect this world and the people on it.

Until that time comes where the power is in the hands of the people, do not give any elected official on this green earth a moment of silence or rest. Elected officials are actively breaking laws (in the US they are) and expect the voters to follow the law and punish citizens for breaking these laws while they somehow are above them. No. We should all be held to the same standard or there is no standard. We are in lawless times until the power rests in the hands of the people.

If you are a member of the military, please quit. If you work for the government bureaucracy, please quit. These actions do make a difference.

From the river to the sea, may the whole world be free.
