The US government has to be restructured. As the only country to veto a humanitarian ceasefire for Gaza in the UN Security Council, it perfectly demonstrates the depth of the rot within the US bureaucracy, which runs deep and far. This vote further proves that the US government does not respect, protect, or uphold human rights of anyone.
We need a change. We have to organize to make this change.
Our elected officials in the US wield too much power, they are in office for decades, and their greed and need for power must all be checked. Our system of checks and balances is broken and imbalanced. It is incumbent upon US voters to fix this. Elected officials will not address the issues because they want to maintain power, and that is disturbing. No person in an elected office should be seeking a seat in order to gain power, but that is exact intent of the wide majority of US politicians. This is why nothing has progressed in the US for decades and why Americans are suffering.
What can we do to fix this and begin reform?
I urge anyone who is feeling powerless to leave your party and either choose another party, or become an Independent. Do not demean yourself for a party that does not represent you, or your morals. Do not support or continue to support a party that stands for something you do not believe in or would choose to do if you had the same choice. This means that your party is not representing you and if they do not, leave. There is power and voice in your actions.
Vote third party. It is exhausting hearing people claim that third party voting does nothing. For one, there is an Independent candidate winning a governor’s race. Two, Abraham Lincoln was a third party president, it can be done. What is dependent on third party voting is that WE ALL NEED TO VOTE THIRD PARTY FOR IT TO BE EFFECTIVE. You do have a choice between many candidates. Parties do change and evolve over time and it is usually when there is a major issue that causes a party system to turn over, and now is just that time. Have faith and if more people vote third party, we will see a difference.
The public needs to be writing more legislation, push for these reforms to pass, and vote out any politician who opposes reform. WE need to create legislation removing the electoral college. WE need to propose legislation that allows multiple party choices an equal platform for the presidency and all offices. WE need to introduce tax reform laws so that our money does not go into military spending without voter approval. WE need to We need to propose legislation for term-limits for all elected offices including SCOTUS. WE need to propose legislation that allows the electorate to vote on the Supreme Court Justices. WE need to create legislation that allows voters the ability to vote on legislation versus the elected officials who clearly do not have Americans best interest. WE need to pass legislation that bans all PACs and limits campaign financing for companies and individuals.
Our voices are being silenced. Our voices are being ignored. The job of an elected official is to represent their constituency and listen to voters. This is not occurring under this government and has not occurred for many years. We need a change. We need to be heard. We need to represented. We need progress, not repression.
It does not matter if it is a Republican or a Democrat in office, they both represent conservatives, and even to those conservatives, they are not being heard.
Let’s organize and fight for democracy. Let’s fix what is broken. Not everything within the framework of the US democratic system is broken, many policies and protections should remain like the Constitution, but we do need more amendments like the right to an abortion. The fact that there have been no further amendments to the Constitution in decades to protect the rights of Americans, should alarm everyone. Under the Biden administration, our rights are being attacked. If Trump were to win another election, rights would also be under attack. There is little difference between either party or candidate.
Be ungovernable. Show no respect for any person in office. Never show them respect because they deserve nothing but disgust over their betrayal to protect our rights and uphold human rights. Let them know they must go and show no kindness. The time for civility is gone. The time to be heard is now. Please do not be violent, but be vocal and take action.
We do have power. They will try, and are trying to break this mindset, but they are scared, which is why they are limiting free speech. BE LOUDER. BE MORE AGGRESSIVE WITH YOUR VOICE AND MESSAGE.
VOTE THEM ALL OUT.
VOTE THIRD PARTY.
LEAVE YOUR PARTY.
PROTEST.
ORGANIZE.
WRITE LEGISLATION.
These politicians think they cannot be held accountable, but let us show them that they can. WE have that power.
This is a massive job, but we can accomplish it if we begin to break the system down bit by bit. Let’s begin.
