Batten down the hatches, the US war that "be a brewin'" has hit ashore in Yemen

  • Germany sells arms to Saudi Arabia (all of these arms deals to Saudi Arabia means that Saudi Arabia is prepping for a greater war).

  • Egypt secures a huge arms deal with the US after losing a previous arms deal in September.

  • Iran takes back an oil tanker previously sanctioned by the US.

  • Blinken completes a tour of allies in the Middle East.

  • Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey have all secured either arms deals or base deals with the US.

All of these points are interconnected. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with US allies in which he claims these meetings were to discuss the future of Gaza, even though the war is raging and there is no discussion of a ceasefire. His meetings with these specific allies were to ensure their support of US attacks on Yemen and other countries or militia in the Middle East. Blinken was reportedly in oddly good spirits when he discussed his tour of the Middle East, and it was because he had lined all of his ducks in a row successfully knowing that the US would launch an attack on Yemen and that he had secured the backing of specific countries in the region. Why would Blinken giddily discuss the future of Gaza when there is a massacre occurring with no end in sight? It had nothing to do with the future of Gaza but the destruction of Yemen that he was thrilled over his success in paying off allies that the Biden administration had previously stated they would not sell arms to.

With the weakest argument to legitimize their actions just as Israel is doing with Gaza, the US claims that the Houthis are disrupting the flow of commerce and trade so bombing Yemen is an acceptable response. No person is being harmed with the Houthi blockade but the US feels that they should bomb another country. The US has now attacked an impoverished country over a simple blockade from rebel fighters that aren’t the ruling body of that country.

So what? Why does it bother or affect the US? The Houthis are not attacking every ship. Yes, ships have to travel and it takes longer to get to certain ports. So what? Let ships travel the long way around the African continent.

No one has taken the bait the US wanted them to take in starting aggressions with the US, not even the Houthis. The US had to create a task force, Prosperity Guardian, and rope in other countries to legitimize their actions in foreign waters when none of these countries are at war with one another so that the US could instigate a war. The US is taking the position of the global police officer but they are only doing it in certain circumstances that benefit the US. The US wants a war and they have been egging on the Axis of Resistance but to no avail.

They think that giving stern warnings to the Houthis justifies their airstrikes on Yemen, but it does not because the US never had the authority to attack Houthi fighters or Yemen.

President Biden must get congressional approval before attacking another country per the Constitution, and he did not seek any approval for the airstrikes on Yemen. Again, Biden promised many times to never take such actions or aggressions, but now he has.

The US thinks they have some form of authority in Middle Eastern waters, but they do not. This is why Blinken secured the approval of certain countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, both countries have fought Yemen and both countries now have huge arms deals with the US. Now the US can state that there are countries upset over the Houthi blockade and attacks despite the fact that these countries have never openly condemned the Houthi attacks on Israel-bound ships because it does not affect these countries or their flow of shipping. It only upsets the US.

Iran took back an oil tanker that the US had taken as part of sanctions on Iran. The same day that Iran took back their oil tanker, the US attacks Yemen. The US is trying to expand this war to Iran, other countries, and instigate other militias. The Houthis did not attack another ship in the Red Sea. The total attacks from Houthi forces in the Red Sea still stands at 27. Bombing Yemen was to escalate fighting with the Houthis but also escalate fighting with Iran.

The US wants a greater war to erupt. They want militias in Iraq to attack. They want militias in Syria to attack. The US wants a full-scale war.

Why does the US want war in the Middle East? First, because it will distract from the war on Gaza and the focus will be split into multiple fronts. The US knows that major world powers will not counter the US out of fear for their economies. Second, Biden is seeking reelection and wartime presidents always win reelection. Third, the US wants greater influence and resources in the Middle East.

This is why the US has been so actively bullying and posturing in the Middle East since the war on Gaza began. US officials have been pushing for this since they sent a fleet of warships, a nuclear submarine, multiple aircraft carriers, bombed Syrian and Iraqi militias, and prevented all possibilities for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The US wants Iran to enter this fray. They want all the militias in Iraq to attack. They want all the militias in Syria to attack. They want all the militias in Lebanon to attack (as does Israel). If these groups fall for it, a greater war will erupt and they will play into the deadly game America has started.

When the Houthis attack the US in retaliation for the airstrikes that killed five people in Yemen, the US will escalate this even more and use the Houthi retaliation as justification for even greater and wider attacks on Yemen until another country or militia enters the battle (which. is what the US is attempting to incite).

This is why Blinken was so happy when he was interviewed. He’s a cat who just caught a bird.

Now, the question remains if President Biden will be held accountable for violating the Constitution. Will congress hold him accountable? If they do not then US voters know the true state of the eroding democracy, which if they do nothing, completely destroys it. Conservatives could call for an impeachment of the president for violating the Constitution, but most are congratulating Biden for his attacks on Yemen and urge him to continue even though they have means to impeach a president from their opposing party. The few possible “progressives” in Congress are calling out the violations but will they actively try to stop Biden?

Will any leaders support diplomacy? Does that even exist anymore? Does nothing get negotiated without a monetary enticement? These are rhetorical questions because we all know the answer to it.

What can we do?

Disrupt everything.

Protest.

BE UNGOVERNABLE.

Boycott.

Vote 3rd party.

Demand embargoes and sanctions on the US and Israel.

From the river to the sea, may Palestine be free. May the whole world be free.

Please extend the same energy to other people and countries facing genocide and atrocities- Sudan, Congo, the Rohingyas, West Papua, Armenians, and the Uyghurs.
