Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

Israel is not slowing down their genocide. What will it take to hold Israel accountable?

What governments and leaders around the world have proven is that war crimes and genocide are permissible dependent on who commits them and how much money is involved. There are no protections for human rights because it is all subjective based on economic profitability. There are daily war crimes that are being committed in Gaza, they are aired on social media and shared to billions of people across the world that overwhelmingly want an end to this genocide and for justice to prevail, but the leaders and governments that claim they stand for human rights do not at all.

Just this week Israel has:

  1. Proven that they killed their own people and soldiers with the use of their Hannibal directive on October 7.

How many of their own people and soldiers did Israel kill on October 7? Israel uses the pictures of burned cars to display the level of attack that occurred. The issue is that these images are due to the violence Israel perpetrated on their own people and not what Hamas did because Hamas did not bring that level of fire power into Israel.

Al Jazeera: Why did Israel deploy Hannibal Directive, allowing killing of own citizens?

  2. Death toll estimated to be 186,000 innocent Palestinians killed by Israel.

This story alone should be motivating world leaders, but they knew this fact already and they still do nothing when the story is released to the public. There is no faith or trust in anyone in office (in any country) that does not condemn Israel and take actions to stop Israel.

The Guardian: Why researchers fear the Gaza death toll could reach 186,000

  3. Bombed Al Mawasi which is designated a safe zone and killed civilians and aid workers.

Israel forces Palestinians to move throughout Gaza and then specifically bombs and attacks the areas where they told Palestinians to locate. It’s a purposeful killing tactic used to kill as many Palestinians as possible.

UN: Gaza: Gutteres ‘shocked and saddened’ by deadly strikes on Al Mawasi, as WHO and partners aid medical response

  4. Bombed a school in Nuseirat today.

There is no where in Gaza that is safe. Every safe zone is bombed and civilians are shot at.

  5. Bombed Syria, because why?

What did Syria do to deserve this? Could this be from the urging of the US after the US began sending more shipments of the 500 pound bombs? If Israel is arguing that Syria is providing arms to Hamas, then Israel would have the justification to bomb several other countries but they target Syria because it is an easy target and because the US has been wanting to fully destabilize Syria for decades.

  6. Taken land in the West Bank for settlements.

Palestinians that live in the West Bank are being forced from their homes, imprisoned, and killed. They have done nothing, but Israel wants to remove all Palestinians whether it be in Gaza or the West Bank despite the humanitarian laws protecting Palestinians in the West Bank. Saying they condemn these actions is nothing when they could sanction all Israeli leaders who have planned these attacks.

The Guardian: ‘Constant anxiety’: hundreds of Palestinians face eviction threat in East Jerusalem

  7. Added shrapnel to cause greater injury and assured death in their bombs.

If Israel is using such precise bombs, why use bombs that would cause the most suffering if that is not the intent?

The Guardian: Israeli weapons packed with shrapnel causing devastating injuries to children in Gaza, doctors say

These are all war crimes. Where are the leaders and governments who declare they uphold human rights? Where are the sanctions and arms embargo? Why won’t these leaders answer as to why they refuse to cut economic and diplomatic ties with Israel?

These are the questions we need to pose to ourselves and ask how we need to remove these leaders from power who lie to the world when they say they care for human rights and international humanitarian law. They only support these principles and laws when it benefits them.

Each day that goes by where Israel is committing genocide and trying to spark wars with other countries to gain their land and resources, chips away at human rights and international humanitarian law. It leaves us realizing that the only people protecting us, is us and not the leaders we voted for, which is why they all need to go.

If your leaders do not sanction and place an arms embargo on Israel, there is no legitimacy to their claims that they stand for humanity. They stand for profit and for fear. The hope for the future of humanity does not lie with any governments or elected officials, it is in our hands.

What we cannot do is give into our fear or stay silent. We each have the power to make a difference in each and every action we take even if your government is fully assisting in Israel’s genocide and it seems like your contribution is too insignificant, it’s not. Your actions, along with the actions of many others, adds up and makes a difference.

From the river to the sea, may Palestine be free. May the whole world be free.
