So. Cal Wildflower Update 6.10.24

With humanity deteriorating at a steady pace, spending time in nature to reset and appreciate the sheer beauty and peace is a necessity. Maybe I am retreating more and more into nature, but that is where I know I am safe and where I am happiest. This hike was tough as the heat and the overgrowth of the shrubs made it a bit more challenging, but I enjoy a good challenge. Since summer has hit, I will be hiking a lot less. Our superbloom chance has passed. I had many hopes for the amount of wildflowers I witnessed last year when we had significantly less rain, but the superbloom hit. Thank to climate change, nature is struggling and why I greatly treasure and cherish each and every wildflower I am lucky to lay eyes on.
