How Much More Can Palestine Suffer?

  • Israeli has stated that it will be in charge of the security of Gaza.

  • Al-Shifa Hospital lost 3 premature babies in incubators and many ICU patients. Al-Shifa Hospital has shut down. There is no electricity, fuel, and they are under attack.

  • Al-Quds Hospital has shut down completely due to lack of fuel.

  • Al-Rantissi Naser Pediatric Hospital is failing and under attack. They are turning away patients.

  • The Indonesian Hospital is losing power and under attack. They are turning away patients.

  • Israel is purposefully targeting journalists and their families. Journalists are having to escape or be killed. This is from a Minister from Qatar.

  • Israel claims that all doctors and healthcare workers are Hamas agents and are therefore targets. The UN, WHO, the Red Cross, and the Red Crescent have stated that they are not terrorist agents and ask for hospitals in Gaza not be attacked.

  • Israel has confirmed that they are imposing a second Nakba on Gaza, Israel’s Minister for Agriculture.

  • Israel has used fighter jets against Lebanon when Hezbollah bombed a portion of the Israeli border after Hezbollah claimed that Israel was installing spy equipment.

  • Israel has revised their death toll to ~1200. They have also admitted that the death toll in Gaza is much higher, as has the US.

Hospitals are under full attack in Gaza. If there is no healthcare in Gaza, the Palestinians will surely die and suffer even more than what they have, which is unimaginable and unconscionable. Israel has shifted the narrative repeatedly in order to justify their war crimes. Most recently, Israel has accused medical staff at hospitals of being members of Hamas despite humanitarian organizations affirming the opposite. Israel has also created a narrative that Hamas shoots rockets off the roofs of hospitals without any evidence, and then Hamas tunneling beneath the hospitals without any evidence. The obvious goal is extermination. Without medical care, Palestinians will die and they will die horribly without any medical care now. Israel is throwing the blame at all possibilities to cover for their war crimes, but the proof they claim has either been refuted in two of those cases, and the third being the tunnels, they have no facts to provide media other than hypothetical graphics.

There are several articles in the Geneva Convention, actual pages of articles, that protect hospitals from attack. As it should be, hospitals are one of the most protected locations under the Geneva Convention. Israel is trying to justify their decimation of the Palestinian healthcare system making false statements that everyone is a Hamas terrorist that works within the hospital, and that all hospitals are teeming with terrorist both atop them and beneath them. Doctors working within the hospitals have stated that there are no terrorist within the staff or Hamas soldiers utilizing the hospitals to attack Israel. International humanitarian organizations as well as the UN have also stated the same. These are baseless lies meant to destroy all means of medical care for Palestinians and nothing is being done on a global level from world leaders.

Sanction Israel. Embargo Israel. Cut off arms supplies to Israel and the US. Sanction the US. Embargo the US. Cut off diplomatic relations with Israel and the US. These actions sends messages and holds these countries accountable. Very few have taken these steps, no country has done all of these steps, but this is the time to take bold steps in the name of humanity.

Israel is literally screaming it for the world to hear what they are doing. Israel plans to annex Gaza, expelling the Palestinians and killing those who remain. This is genocide. These are war crimes. The intent of Israel has been clearly stated through many Israeli officials. Where are the binding responses from world leaders over these disturbing crimes from Israel?

The UN passed many resolution in the General Assembly that would protect the Palestinians, but these are not binding resolutions. Lebanon even stated in the General Assembly that Israel has never addressed the oil spills that hs incurred on Lebanese land due to Israeli attacks, and this has lasted for almost two decades now. Israel has yet to be held accountable for the devastation. What Palestine and Lebanon both need is binding resolutions. However, the US has veto power in the Security Council and thwarts any resolution that checks the power of Israel.

Because of the inaction from the majority of world leaders, greater war is going to spread in the Middle East. It is inevitable that Iran will enter the war and possibly other nations as well if nations don’t take further steps. In the UN, the majority of countries strongly support Palestine, but there is no follow through from these nations independently from the votes they cast in the UN. This is not enough. This is not an acceptable reply to defend human rights and protect humanity. These world leaders, over 140 countries, have agreed with resolutions to protect Palestinians, but their actions stop there. They cannot stop at unbinding resolutions if they want to help Palestine. These nations know the limitations of the resolutions. They know that Israel will ignore the resolutions just as it has in the past. All of the countries that support the resolutions to protect Palestine must take actual steps to hold Israel accountable.

The world leadesr could unite to end this. France has called for a ceasefire and has voted for all of the resolutions supporting Palestine. That means that other nations can also take steps and not fear the repercussions from the US. The world has the numbers and the US has money to threaten these countries with, but there is greater power in numbers.

It is interesting to see that it is always a few nations who wield such great power over the world. This changes over time, the actors who are in control of global power, but it is always small, concentrated and in search of greater power. That is the lesson that history teaches. History also teaches that only the brave take action to check the power of these global oppressors. Never is harmony sought, but power. We must fight for harmony across this world, and that begins with world leaders sanctioning, embargoing, and cutting off ties with Israel and the US.

The UN should expel Israel from the assembly. These are the types of moves that are effective. Words have no meaning to countries that are devoid of conscience. Both Israel and the US are beyond reasoning and can only be met with strong actions. This is how both countries operate and will only hear responses in the like.

A child is killed every ten minutes in Gaza- UN. How can this world exist one second where children are being subjected to this evil? They face certain death or the torture of what existence in Palestine is under these beyond dire conditions. No child should ever have to suffer this. They are innocent.

We have to fight for these children and for all Palestinians. We have to unite for them and use our power together to rebalance this world.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
