The UN is asking nations to do what is right and hold those countries accountable for the atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank. “We are relying on the responsibility of every Member State here and across the UN to use all of their influence to ensure that the rules of war are respected and that as far as is possible, civilians are spared further suffering,” Lisa Doughten OCHA Director. There is no legal power the UN holds over the countries unless the Security Council passes a resolution. With the US in the Security Council, they will ensure that no resolution is passed that limits Israeli military response allowing the siege to continue indefinitely without legitimate check from the UN. Instead, the UN is asking world leaders to take a stand against genocide and war crimes.
These dire situations call for a courageous response from world leaders. Cut all trade with Israel and the US. Cut diplomatic ties with these countries and expel their foreign offices. Censure Israel and the US to the highest degree possible. These high crimes that these two nations are committing requires that level of response if any nation wants to truly defend human rights.
120 countries voted for the Jordan resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. These 120 nations must unite together and end the siege. They have the power to do so. Please call contact all of your elected officials if you are a voter in a country that supported the Jordan resolution. Urge them to cut economic and diplomatic ties with Israel and the US until a ceasefire is called and aid restored to Gaza and Palestinian settlements in the West Bank.
World leaders are fearful of what the US will do in retaliation for holding the US to account. What these world leaders need to realize are the further horrors that these countries will commit if they are not held to account. They will use your silence as support for their actions. “No acting powers deposed our actions,” will be the words they use in the future if world leaders do not definitively rebuke the crimes against the Palestinians that both Israel and the US are actively committing.
Yemen is the first middle eastern nation to openly challenge Israel militarily. Today, Yemen officials acknowledged sending both missiles and drones to attack Israel in response to the genocide in Gaza. Other countries will join Yemen in their efforts to counter Israel. Iran warned of this in their speech to the General Assembly. What is concerning is the US will use this as a means to enter the war as well. The US will grasp at any justification to enter this war because it needs both resources and the economic reach of the Middle East. World leaders must counter the violence and take drastic steps to end the war because the violence is spreading.
I am a US citizen and I am calling on world leaders to punish my government. My government does not want to listen to the majority of their constituents who are asking for a ceasefire and to not financially support funding the state of Israel. They will not listen to their voters (until election time), but they will listen to world leaders. If cutting off trade disrupts the US economy and affects Americans, we will handle this outcome with grace if that means saving Palestinian lives. Whatever we must give up or live without is nothing in comparison to the suffering in Gaza. That is not even a question for debate for any person who is against the Palestinian genocide. Cut off trade with the US immediately. Cut off trade with Israel immediately.
Those 120 countries could create a strong trade coalition between this robust group of nations. It is time to isolate Israel and the US economically and diplomatically.
The ICC is investigating the war crimes of Israel against the Palestinians. There are steps being taken to hold Israel accountable, but it is not enough. The siege must end. Nations and world leaders must take bold steps.
It is not just world leaders that must take bold steps, but we all must. The US needs an overhaul of our elected officials. Voters have a massive job ahead, never forget and vote these people out of power. We must remove these genocide supporters from power, but we need people who are willing to take their place. There is much fear mongering over the next presidency if Biden is not elected and Trump receives a second term. Be hopeful! Why can’t someone else take the presidency? Why must this election be between Biden or Trump? Trump should be in federal jail and Biden should go to prison in The Hague if justice is served. Neither are fit for presidency, so why are so many accepting these two criminals as the only options? Please do not be complacent and accept either Biden or Trump. We need people to step into this role. This is the “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” moment, someone with that passion and drive stepping up for the good of humanity. There are people in office that are capable of this, they just need to find their bravery and be bold.
The escalation of hatred and violence is spreading.
Israel has continued attacks on Syria and Lebanon
Israel has bombed hospitals, schools, refugee camps, settlements in the West Bank, Red Crescent facilities (all war crimes)
Israel is allowing settlers to kill Palestinians in the West Bank
Israel is continuing to use white phosphorous missiles
The US is trying to silence anti-Israel protests and social media
The White House compares pro-Palestinian protestors to Nazi’s
Hate crime- a muslim woman was murdered in Texas
Yemen has entered the war and began drone strikes and ballistic missile strikes against Israel
There is little to no food or water in Gaza, there is no medicine
10,000 innocent Palestinians have died.
Take action! Volunteer! Fight for change! Fight for human rights!
Be brave! Be bold! Resist!
